Wireless Glove Controls Pallet Truck Operation Remotely

By pressing a thumb-actuated button on a wireless transceiver glove, low-level order selectors can remotely advance the PC 4500 center control rider pallet truck to the next pick location without having to return to the operator’s compartment.

The QuickPick remote system allows the operator to remain in the optimum position for picking with task automating technologies. Alternately, the same process can be deployed with a transceiver trigger.

Features include a wireless transceiver module that periodically transmits and receives RF signals from an RF tower on the truck, lasers to detect obstacles in the truck’s path, and a control system that initiates minor travel path corrections.
